Come to our beginners training sessions!
Sunday nights from 6pm - 8pm at Digi Skating Rink : 40/44 Johnson Rd Hillcrest 4118.
Everyone is welcome to learn how to skate from scratch. Bring as much equipment of your own as possible.

We encourage all our potential freshmeat to skate as much as possible. A few rinks in the area provide 'star classes', these star classes are an excellent environment to learn to skate or just to brush up.

After 4 weeks of beginners training you are expected to purchase insurance through Skate Australia, then you're ready to officially join the league.
Skate Australia membership can be purchased by printing out their

2009 membership form (www.sunstaterollergirls.com) and contacting Megan Stewart directly to arrange payment.

Choose which SSRG membership is right for you.
Associate Membership - Skaters who are not expecting to be bout-ready within a year are encouraged to purchase associate membership so they can officiate at bouts (off skates) and take part in all other league activities.
Competitive Membership - Skaters who are expecting to be bout-ready within a year are encouraged to purchase competitive membership so they can join in scrimmages and bouts as soon as they have passed their skills tests and proved their ability to play safely with the exisiting team skaters.

The league will register your derby name and number with the International Derby Roster and provide you with a profile page on this website along with your league email address all of which is done at the end of every month.
