Volunteers

The rough and tumble of roller derby isn't for everyone - but there are plenty of heroes behind the scenes. We're looking for volunteers - everything from Referees to retailers.

We need all sorts of people to run our league and support us at our bouts. It's great fun, you get to be part of a fantastic and friendly team, contribute to this fast growing sport and get into our bouts for free. Whether you're great at dealing with people, a fantastic organiser, statistician or can focus on the details we need you.

There are plenty of ways you can be involved:

• Being a Referee is a great way to get involved for guys and girls. Our Refs make sure the game is safe, smooth and fair.  You don't have to know the game, or even skate - we will teach you.
• Non-skating officials help our Refs track penalties, count up points scored and time the skaters in the sin bin. It's a great way to contribute to the league, learn the game and be part of the atmosphere that is a roller derby bout - complete with over 1500 screaming fans.
• Full and associate league members are always sought to assist with welcoming our audience, ticketing, crowd control and selling our fabulous merchandise.

Outside of bout night we are always looking for keen and talented people to help with all aspects of the league: events management, graphic design, fund raising, distributing flyers, selling cupcakes - you name it.
